The Flynns!

I've been looking forward to celebrating the wedding of my very dear friend. Everything about this celebration had Sarah's hands all over it. She is such a kind hearted, thoughtful and gentle natured friend. I wish I had recorded her sister's speech because she nailed every quality of Sarah's so gracefully. So happy Sarah found such a perfect match. Jeff is such a character and really is so thoughtful with Sarah. We had a blast and the location was just gorgeous! We've been so lucky to be on the dance floor twice over the last month with all our great friends :)

When Justin and I moved out of our first home and began searching my only requirement was that our kids grow up in a neighborhood full of kids. I have great memories of playing "until the street lights come on" with all the neighborhood kids and wanted the same for mine. I came to this neighborhood on a few occasions when school let out just to literally look to see how many kids were filing into the homes. I wanted to make sure we weren't moving into a 50+ neighborhood.I am crazy. But my craziness pays off most of the time. Our neighborhood hosts ice cream socials, parades, pumpkin carving, easter egg hunting and movie nights on the green. We love all the events for the kids. Colin and Evan are a little young for some of these events but we try to make it work until they can actually stay up past 6:30.

Miss Brown becomes Mrs. Hess!

Melanie had such a gorgeous weekend and we had so much fun dancing the night away. I stole a few shots of Mel and the girls getting ready before Melanie's sweet photographer arrived. As to be expected Mrs. Brown made her usual and delicious quesh, the girls took turns getting hair and makeup done while Melanie was quite relaxed during the day. Their ceremony was beautiful and the scenery just perfect. I knew Melanie was going to marry Eric the minute she told me about him. We adore Eric and are so happy see this day finally here! Love you guys :)

Winery Playdate

The weather was perfect this weekend and we decided to head to Breaux Winery to lets the kids get some fresh air and the parents some wine. I really love Breaux- it's such a laid back winery with zero rules. Dogs, picnics and kids all welcome. It's so nice to be able to get out while the weather is still mild. Summers around here are brutal!

Sarah's Shower

Sarah is getting married in a few months and I am so excited for her. It's wedding season among my friends and we are going to have a blast celebrating all these marriages. Sarah and I were roommates in college and we realized very quickly how alike we were. We are neat freaks, obsessed over small details, loved sharing clothes, watching sex and the city marathons and staying up late talking about boys. I don't think we ever went to sleep right away. We would always talk until we both fell asleep at night. I knew Sarah and I would be lifelong friends. She is one of the sweetest people I know. Her mom and sister threw a gorgeous shower in Philadelphia then all the girls took a cooking class and went out to celebrate with Sarah. It was so great to get to spend some time with the girls :)

Melanie is getting hitched and I couldn't be more excited for her! The minute I met Eric I knew this day would not be far behind. Melanie is like an extension of my family to me and I adore every one of her sweet qualities. I can't wait for her wedding day in June and see her begin the next chapter. Love you Mel!

Eric's mom is your typical Italian mother. She is hilarious and so sweet. I've had the pleasure of staying with Melanie in Mrs. Hess's home twice and the relationship between Melanie and her mother in law is so effortless. She adores Melanie but who wouldn't? This picture below is a quick game they played after the shower... "who knows Eric best".. both ladies won :)

Ashley's Sprinkle

Ashley had a lovely sprinkle for her upcoming arrival. I always love showers hosted by Carrie and Mary Campbell. They do such a nice job. I tell Carrie and often my mom they should start their own party planning business. Ashley looks radiant although she would tell you different. All of us are anxious to meet their newest member of the family and can't believe she will be here in a month! I love the month of April ;)
