ordinary day.

These boys are growing so quick. It's been a summer goal of mine to document just a typical day in their lives before next summer they are 10 feet tall. When I look back at photos just a year ago I almost don't recognize the boys they once were. Taking photos and videos is my way of screaming at the time. Please slow it down. Some days are hard but when they go to bed I'd do all the hard days over again. These two are the best of friends.

Pool Days

These boys have really warmed up to the pool. Colin who is typically very timid when trying new things has really loved the water. His swimming lessons are really paying off and we are so grateful to my parents who take him every Saturday morning. He loves his special time spent with them. Our neighborhood pool is rarely ever crowded and is so nice to take the kids. I know there are going to many memories made at their pool. I loved my pool days as a kid!

Exactly two years later. The first photo was taken in 2012. Colin was 2 years 4 months. Almost same age as Evan is today. TIME FLIES.

Two and a half

Two and a half will kill me. But man he's so stinking cute he gets away with way more than I would like to admit. Evan couldn't more opposite of his older brother. He is extremely stingy with his hugs. It's a good start to my day when after changing his diaper I request a hug and a kiss and to which he replies "i wuv you mommy" before running out his bedroom door. That's it. And I bottle up those 15 seconds. Evan is in love with as most know snoppy, dancing, his guitar, milt (milk), playing pretend anything with his brother.. so freaking cute, big trucks, his lawn mower, anything motorized that makes my heart drop the minute I hear the sound of anything pulling out of the garage (we're working on the steering), the girls nextdoor, daddy .. i mean he really LOVES his dad, drawing (and yes drawing all over Colin's newly painted bedroom.. good times) and cookies.. of course ;) He has more energy than I know what to do with and at night time requests... "mommy i yanna go nite nite".. he plays hard and crashes harder :)
