Colin is slowlyyyyy holding up that heavy head of his longer and longer. It still flops around but he is strong enough to sit in his bumbo for a few minutes!

lunch date.

We traveled to the Inner Harbor to meet Jeff and Sarah for lunch! Sarah finally holding Colin :)-

This commercial has been playing on/off the last couple of weeks and I finally broke down and ordered!


Colin loves his jean diapers. Tummy time.. not so much :(

He'd rather just eat his hand while doing tummy time. He doesnt really expect me to have him lift that heavy head of his ;)

Remember that frown face I was talking about :) It's too cute. At least he gives me a bit of a warning before he gets upset. He has me wrapped around his little finger.

maternity leave.

A typical day in the Smith house. Tucker sleeping and Colin eating, pooping and napping. I can't believe Colin is already 2 months old and I only have another 4 weeks of leave. While the mornings come way too quick and I always beg for just "one more hour" of sleep I have so much fun with my pumpkin during the day. I just adore him and love being around to see the changes day by day.

Some fun facts about our man:

*He smiles at the sound of my voice. I love it. Absolutely love it.

*He is cooing tons and starting to do high pitched coo's when he gets excited.

*Before he gets upset he gets this adorable frown on his face... ill have to see if I can capture it. It's too precious... actually that is the first face he showed when he was born. I think it's going to stick around.

*He loves to be swaddled.

*He hates tummy time- I'm working on it.

*He is loosing his hair and its coming back a bit lighter.

*When he has a clean diaper and is full- he is seriously one happy baby.

*He loves his bath. Justin has been doing these lately and I think it's such a sweet time for them to get to spend together. I think the bath water is just so soothing for him.. he loves it.

*He can hold his head up longer and longer each day.

* Colin is weighing in at 15 lbs 10 oz. He is larger than 99% of babies his age! Everywhere we go people are just amazed that Colin is only 2 months. We aren't sure where he came from but are pretty sure he is going to resemble Justin's brother- Will :)

I could go on forever about Colin... i will be sure to share more updates at his 3 mo. mark!

*PICTURE FILLED POST OF MEG'S WEDDING WEEKEND!*

Aunt Cathi threw a nice bridal luncheon @ Okras in Old Towne Manassas. I've always loved Old Town :) After lunch we walked to the jewelry store to have our rings cleaned. It was a gorgeous afternoon!

The gorgeous afternoon lead to one gorgeous evening. Ryan's parents threw a fantastic rehearsal dinner at Piedmont in Haymarket. It was the PERFECT night. The weather couldn't have been better and food was delicious!

Meg and I have been going to Tranquility Day Spa for years. They don't normally do bridal parties as it takes away from their busiest days...but nobdoy can say no to the Carney's aka my mom ;)

Meghan had the DJ play mom and Dad's first dance song for their 30th wedding anniversary!! (only dad gave Meg and I the wrong song.. mom & dad still dont know what it was.. they only know the lyrics.. good lord).

My sister-in-law caught the bouquet! She was very excited as you can see :)

Meghan and Ryan left ready to continue the party! They left @ 4:30 am for St. Lucia!! Hope they are having a HAPPY HONEYMOON :)

My little sister is married! I could post a dozen pictures from this weekend but Meghan deserves her own post for her striking beauty. I have been to a million weddings but I've never seen a bride so stunning. Meghan was calm and collected and we had such a nice morning getting ready. I am sad to say I didn't get too many pictures with her dressed. MOH was a busy duty ;)

memorial weekend.

So nice to have a long weekend. One afternoon was spent enjoying burgers, our backyard and a neighborhood party. Always nice getting everyone together and relaxing :)

Meg and Ryan- 2 weeks to go to the BIG DAY!

The next afternoon we headed to grandma Smiths to celebrate Will's birthday. Not quite 21.. butg almost there Uncle Will!

Monday we traveled to my parents where the weather was hot and steamy but we still found some shade on the deck while it lasted!

success!

Nap time has been a bit of a challenge. Colin loves his crib at night but during the day he did not like to nap in his room. Not willing to give up- I set him down this morning and he fell asleep! Then I decided I would try once more in the afternoon- success! I hope he keeps this up! :)

Colin loves to fall asleep to his crib light and loves the noise it makes. I swear by this and don't think he would fall asleep without it and the mobile (thanks Pauline!).
