christmas.

Tucker and I on Christmas eve :)

On our way to Bailey's :)

The gorgeous Hoy (to be) family. Can't wait to wedding festivities in June!

Family photos after our chinese dinner. Chinese on xmas eve has been a tradition on ours since I can remember. There is only one place that makes the best chinese in the world :)

Grandma Smith's house Christmas Day- in the kitchen as usual :)

Smith fam (and tuckered out Tuck who wouldn't move for the photo)!

We are so thankful to have such wonderful family and to be able to spend time together during the holidays!! We love all of you very much. Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!

snowed in.

We woke up to a beautiful blanket of snow in the morning and I knew it was going to be a cozy day.

A snow day calls for pancakes for Tuck!

Taking a walk out in the blizzard. It was quite chilly but Tucker enjoyed bouncing around in the snow :)

Measuring around 2 pm- about 20 inches!

My very handsome husband shoveling the driveway for the 3rd time... must keep up with the snow!!

Ending the day with hot chocolate while Justin has enjoyed his cider all day. My dear woodchuck... we will meet again soon :(

23 weeks and counting...

The official countdown has begun!! I keep daydreaming about what our little boy will look like and how active I know he is going to be.. he is quite the kicker. We can't for you all to meet him in a few short months!
Please keep us in your thoughts for a healthy 2010!

planning begins!

After finding out that we will be welcoming a little boy into our family Justin and I began our search for baby bedding and furniture. We decided on a white finish to compliment the beddding we have also chosen below :) We can't wait for our new furniture to arrive in a few short weeks!!

I fell in love with the "extras" that come with the set. We also purchased a tan glider that I know I will clock many hours in... it's very comfy :)

Justin's first outfit pick for our sweet boy :) I must say I am quite impressed. Notice the Tucker look alike. I can't believe in 18 short weeks we will have a new blessing in our home. So much to do!! Hopefully we will have the nursery done in January!

Jackson!

We got our turn to meet Jackson this weekend :) Ashley is doing great and such a natural mom. She and Chad are just very natural parents and act like they have been doing this for years :) Jackson stayed awake for us and was VERY good. I can't believe he is here!

Justin's turn :)

happy harvest.

I think Tuck likes to have his photo taken :) Our annual fall front door shot!
Look at what a difference a year makes :( He was so much smaller last fall!

Skyline drive with Justin and Tuck. Fall is my favorite season. I love the scents, the crisp air and the gorgeous colors.. oh and baking pies/breads of course :)

Tucker loves his dad :) Don't they really look alike? haha
Gorgeous colors in the mountains of VA!
Tuck was not thrilled about his lady bug costume. There are male lady bugs! He was pooped from our driving all day I think...

miami.

We all headed down to Miami for my cousins wedding which was in a gorgeous location :)
Being in Miami @ 15 weeks pregnant is i must say not fun :( I pretty much deleted every single picture of me. It hasnt been a very fun stage... but once I get over the shock of none of my clothes fitting any longer ill be just fine :)
South Beach was lots of fun @ night :) The streets are lined with restaurants who try to sell you on coming in to eat. We got some pretty good deals while we were down there :) It is complete chaos.

telling friends.

Our little annoucement on our birthday celebration. It was not my intention but half of our friends already knew our news so we figured why not :) That is Cranberry & Sprite ;)

Everyone was very excited... the alcohol probably helped with the over excitement :) We have great friends.

new chapter.

I know.. you're shocked... so were we :)

It has been VERY hard holding in the news for 3 months. Justin and I found out in the very beginning of August and I knew Meg/Ryan's birthday would be the perfect tine to tell our family. So of course we got them normal gifts and then I wrapped these buttons for them to open last.

I taped Ryan's box shut because I wanted Meg to see it first. I know it was mean :( So he is still confused while Meg is in shock for a brief moment.

Meg kept saying this better not be a joke and mom is still trying to get Meghan to tell her what the heck is going on... although i am sure she knew as soon as she saw Meg's face.

Then I got attacked :)

It has been a crazy past three months and I think Justin and I are still in shock ourselves. I am now almost about 14 weeks. We had a bit of a rough patch that our close friends and family know about and all I can say is thank god for my mom and sister. Now before I start to cry.. ill end it there.
We have been very lucky. TIRED doesnt begin to explain it. Although I am getting my engergy back. Our 12 week appt. was insane and we can't believe there will be a child come APRIL. When Justin and I first started dating the first thing that always came to my mind was "he is going to be a great father"... i know that much is def. true.

So 2010 will be a very busy year. Baby in April and a wedding in June :)

the cook.

Whenever I hear the phrase... "i'm making dinner" i quiver. Maybe its bc i am a control freak or maybe its bc my husband has made some very interesting meals :) Bless his heart.

But when he said dinner is ready.. i hadnt even asked. I just prepared myself and walked into the kitchen and to my suprise! Has he been playing dumb all along telling me he cant cook? hmmmm.

I too have been cooking.. no baking :) I love make breads in the fall. I made Pumpkin Bread for football Sunday... but Riley got to the dessert first! I think he liked the bread :)

bluemont.

Saturday we spent the day with Aunt Shirley visiting from UK @ Bluemont and then out to eat in Purcellville. Justin and I were shocked we never visited Bluemont before... it may trump Crysalis... the view that is not the wine :)
They even served soup on a perfect fall day :) yummmm. The winery sits on top of a hill and is a bit scary getting up there but the views are "brilliant".

The bobblehead blondes and Justin :) Justin's mom and aunt are not twins believe it or not!

birthdaysss.

Justin and I celebrated our 28th birthdays with everyone @ Bobby McKeys in the new National Harbor. Despite all the rain it was a very eventful night to say the least ;)

Mel came to visitttt and Ashley came out with Jackson. I have the greatest friends...

Julia requested Stand by Me .. our wedding song- so we had a little dance. Those lessons were very much forgotten by Justin as he dropped me ... twice.

tuck.

Ok i take lots of pictures of my dog.. but come on.. wouldnt you take a picture of this? haha.
He's my sweet boy :) He always finds the pocket of sun to fall asleep in.
After he had pancakes :) His mouth is a mess.. he thinks he's getting more.
