finally.

Justin's clearance came through!! Everyone knows what a process this has been. Justin already had his TS SCI security clearance when he worked on the government side. But when he decided to go to the contracting world he had to wait and wait and wait for the clearance to be transferred. During this time his clearance expired. Frustrating to say the least :( He had to go through the whole process all over and is now going to be closer to home! Which makes Colin and I very happy :) Now when he gets his MBA I will be throwing a huggeeee party ;)

colin lately.

I love when he smiles back at me. The changes week to week are amazing. I can't wait until this smile follow with a laugh out loud :)
Happy baby :) I think he is liking the camera just like Tucker learned to love the camera :0

Me and my little man @ Meg's shower! Happy SIX weeks to Colin today!!

wedding festivities.

Meg and Ryan are getting married in less than THREE weeks! We had such a fun night celebrating Meg's "last" night out. Our limo driver was amazing and the night passed by too quickly :(
Meg was such a sport with all the gear I had her wearing :) Even the cowgirl hat... which i wish she was wearing in this picture. It was perfect for her!

It's been a very busy Spring in the Carney household. Babies and weddings- my poor parents! But somehow mom manages to pull off gorgeous showers! Meg was showered with TONS of gorgeous gifts. Ryans mom flew in from Arizona and Aunt Sheila from Texas. Meg is a very loved bride to be :)
My boys made an appearance at the shower :)

All the ladies that helped mom pull off a perfect day!

new room.

Hard to believe that it was over a month ago we brought colin home from the hospital and set him in his gorgeous bassinet to sleep. Those were some veryyyy long nights. Aunt Meghan gave Colin his bassinet and it came equipped with a remote that vibrated, played music, spun the mobile and turned on a light. Justin and I would sleep with this remote right next to us. The vibration would stop after 5 minutes so we always quickly hit the button once again praying he didn't wake up.
Then one day I said lets just try the crib. Babies make tons of cooing noises. Even though Colin wasnt crying he kept us awake during those nights and I was always getting up to make sure he was ok. Now that he is in his crib we only hear when he cries rather than Coos. Our video monitor also helps keep a peace of mind. Colin seems to love his room... now if only I could teach him to nap in his crib during the day. One thing at a time :)

gorgeous weekend.

What a gorgeous weekend to celebrate mothers day with our families. Above is our favorite place right up the street from our house at Clydes. We love this restaurant and sitting outside. We fed Colin and held our breath for his first restaurant outing- success!!

Husband and I :)

With mom, meg and Colin. We enjoyed Meghan and Ryan's gorgeous patio and sangria. I just love spring weather and sipping summery drinks.

With the best mom anyone could ask for. She really has done so much for me this past month. I now know what it means to put your child's needs before your own. Thanks mom for always putting Meghan and I first- still to this day.

dads surprise.

Last weekend we ventured out of the house for a much needed change of environment to Nana and g'pa's house. All Colin's grandparents were there and we enjoyed time on the deck relaxing and catching up. Then dad announces that he has a surprise for us in the basement. We all ventured down to the tv room and began watching a dvd that my dad put together. So lucky to have such great family. As you can see he is a very happy grandfather :)

Dad- I love you. Thank you for putting this together for us to look back on.
