books.

Each week these two interact more and more and I love watching that happen naturally. Colin loves to read his books but never opens a book to finish it. He gets distracted by another book and then the floor becomes a mess. Evan loves books more than Colin did when he was young. He hits each page with excitement. Maybe Evan will actually sit and read a book front to back?

Colin & Evan: part two

I decided since I really didn't have any photos of the boys together since Evan was born that it was due. I can't wait to update some of our frames in the house. Maybe I can photoshop Justin and I in there? :)

morning play

Just a quiet morning when the boys are their happiest playing in pj's and watching one another. I love mornings when I can drink my coffee while Justin mows the lawn and the kids are entertaining one another. Now this is a short window, don't let me fool you. But I love that little window in the mornings.

June was a busy month and the easiest way for me to document all our fast paced days is to take along my iphone. It works out so nicely. I am a tad instagram obsessed. I find taking out my phone instead of the huge camera really is so much easier.. especially with that messy toddler of mine :)

Evan: Six Month's

Happy half birthday to our sweet little man. We are so blessed to have you in our family!

Evan lately

Evan at 5 months already has such a personality. We are working on sitting up and will be starting solids right around the corner. We had so many photos of Colin in his room and I wanted to mark this time before he didn't look little anymore. Although some lady told me the other day in the grocery store he looked nine months old. Yes, I know I reply I have huge babies. But sweet-can't-stop-kissing-your-cheeks-huge-babies :)

5 months

Evan is five months old but it feels like he has been a part of this family for so much longer. I'll have more of an update on this sweet face next month!

Four Months

I would not have it any other way. I love being the mom of these boys. Comparison's @ 4 months!

Evan's Baptism

Evan was blessed this past weekend and we enjoyed a gorgeous afternoon celebrating with close family and friends. Justin's mom made that gown and now Justin, Colin and Evan have all worn it. I love hand me downs with a story. Evan fell asleep in Justin's arms right before we went up and when the water touched his head head he just opened his eyes with an annoyed look. The church laughed when Evan was held up along with "awwws". We were especially in the spotlight on Sunday since no other children were blessed with Evan.

Julia held a party at her new house and all the kiddos played. Thank you everyone for adding to our children's massive book collection! We have the most amazing family and friends.

Evan now laughs and Colin now talks in a few sentences. We are changing by the day over here. These boys are so entertaining and both at the best ages. Happy Easter Weekend!

saturday morning.

Just some activities around the house while dad painted Colin's soon-to-be big boy bedroom and mulched. Colin has hated that four wheeler since the day he got it. He is very scared of all things that move but to our surprise he fell in love with it this weekend. Thank goodness! Evan loves watching Colin around the house. I have to admit that toddler is pretty entertaining. Evan even laughs at Colin when he is throwing tantrums. It's quite great.. the laughing not the tantrums.

the boys lately.

Evan is such a delight in our home. As with most babes he does get fussy around 5 but being a second time mom you become good at the tricks. I have a great husband who splits everything with me 50/50. Drop off, baths, feeding, containing toddler tantrums.. you name it. You need a good teammate to not go insane. There are nights when the kids go to bed when we say "holy crap what was Colin's deal tonight" and then there are nights where everything just works. I like those nights :)

Evan giggles very slightly at the sounds of my voice. I love love love it. I can't wait to hear his belly laugh.

Colin continues to tell us "down" but now requires us to put the "baby" "down" on floor so he can play with him. Sometimes Colin doesn't know how large he is and there have been some feet or hands too rough to Evan.

Colin has been so snugly lately. When I go in to get him the morning. He gives me the biggest hug. I may say "i love you" a little too much and "give me a kiss" so maybe he's just trained? Justin says I smother him... but I say no way. I only get these snuggles for so long right?

We are so excited for the nice weather, Easter coming up, Evan's Baptism and Colin's 2nd Birthday!

busy weekends.

Weekends are always very busy running around with the boys :) We celebrated Wilson's first birthday and had a blast running around with all the toddlers or watching them run around with drinks in our hands. Evan was an angel as usual. He just began laughing at Colin when he is in front of him. He recogizes Colin's voice from afar. I knew it was going to be pretty amazing watching the boys interact but the first time seeing that really melts your heart. I love the warm and not extremely hot weather. Perfect time of year for sweaty messy boys.

cousins.

Happy early St. Patty's Day :) Getting these three to sit still is a bit of a task but the grandparents insist on photos of the three. Colin is generally so sweet with the babes but getting him to a) sit down and b) look at the camera is somewhat of a small miracle. Love our little Irish ones. Now who wants to babysit so we can celebrate St. Patty's like we used to?!

doctor colin.

Nurse and Aunt Julia gave Colin this adorable doctor's kit for Christmas. Colin loves mostly to give Evan "shots" but I have to supervise with that and not have the camera in hand. I love watching Colin pretend play. His imagination grows more and more everyday.
