strawberry smoothie.

What is with this weather? Evan and I picked up Colin early from school. He started his first day with the big kiddos and did great. I ordered him a smoothie and myself a latte and we enjoyed some time hanging outside before dad came home.
Colin loves to say "hi" to all the kids when they get home from school. Every day he says "bus" about fifty times and we reply with "yes bus". But it never gets old listening to him get so excited.
and every time the straw comes out he says help-a. I have no idea why he adds an a to help. but its cute so I let it go.

We are always busy around here but I have loved everything about these two ages... Colin is almost 2 and he does things to make us laugh every single day. Evan is such a sweet baby and I love being able to just hold him without him being able to go anywhere. It's such a short window the baby stage.


A few updates:

- I go back to work in a month which is going to be so hard leaving both of them but I know Justin and I have picked out the best care for the boys. Colin loves his school and friends.
- Speaking of "school" Colin is moving up to the two's classroom and will be doing pre-school activities and he adores all his friends. Each day he says "bye bye" to them individually. It's adorable.
- Evan is seriously so relaxed. He is in the smiling stage and recognizing voices. It is so much fun to watch how just a few weeks can change drastically.
- Evan is sleeping in his crib very well!
- Colin is still sleeping in his crib. Im terrified to change him to a toddler bed. He seems to love his crib.
- Speaking of change, no we havent even attempted potty training.
- Justin is working lots of hours at work lately and was on travel for a week. During that week Colin got pink eye and it was a hard week to say the least.
- Colin has developed hilarious habits.. he tells both Justin and I to sit down. If he's playing with toys it's "down". If he is eating we both have to sit in our chairs. Evan is known as "baby" or sometimes "Brielle"- never Evan. I love listening to Colin say "hewo" on the phone. When the weather man comes on TV he says "snow". Every color is "bue". He plays hide and seek but always shows you where he is hiding. He carries around my iphone and dances to all my music. I love Colin's crazy personality.

I can't believe Colin will be two here in a month and Evan is growing like a weed! Life is seriously hectic but when I have a moment to myself I miss the craziness.

outside weather.

Colin walks around the house saying "ow-side". He loves being outside even in freezing temps. Getting him to come in is quite the challenge. We can't wait until Spring is here for good. We enjoyed some time outside while Evan took his two hour nap. I am praying Evan stays a napping baby.

evan.

Evan will be two months shortly and I am just amazed at how the time has flown. When Colin was two months I remember being exhausted. Either I am just good at the exhaustion or you just become more relaxed having already been down that road. Evan really is an easy soul. He is following Colin with his stature but we have been very lucky with Evan's temperament.

We recently moved Evan into his room which is right next to Colin's. When I was pregnant I remember thinking to myself how are we going to make this work. Colin has been a light sleeper since the moment he was born. But things couldn't be going more smoothly. Evan's cries at night don't come close to Colin's when he was an infant. Let's pray it stays this way since I actually put that in writing. Actually Evan's "cry" is sort of a quick yelp which eventually turns into a cry. But he lets you take your time getting to his room. Colin's cries were more like a fire alarm (we love you Colin) as we stumbled (ran) to his room throwing a robe on.

Evan brings us so much joy. Colin absolutely loves Evan. He's only been put in timeout three times for hitting his brother ;) Boys...

Meghan and Ryan added a gorgeous baby girl to their family and we are all so very much in love and I am looking forward to having a girl around. Colin and Evan will be sure to take great care of their cousin!
